Chili pups and chili cheese pups have been tested
successfully at three Chattanooga restaurants. Based on sales results at Chattanooga 6, 8, and 10, these
special, small hot dogs will be tried out in two more
Krystal cities—Montgomery and Savannah—in
The chili pups are tasty (like Krystals), fairly small,
and a good value, priced at 49 cents and 59 cents
with cheese. Served hot and fresh (like Krystals), they
are simple to make and don't require a lot of space
"This is a good product for Krystal because it matches the Krystal customer's expectations," said
Andy Johnson, product development manager. "It

pups are easy to put together and have an excellent
holding time. We always have fresh product ready."
Some people come in just for the chili pups, he added. "Chili cheese pups are outselling chili pups about

adults, children prefer the 'plain pup' (a hot dog with
mustard) in their Kid's Meals."
